Northrop & Johnson has announced the appointment of Alex Higby as Yacht Broker. Based in San Diego, Higby brings extensive experience in sailing and yacht racing, supported by a deep understanding of the yachting industry.
Higby began his yachting career on England’s south coast, where he learned to sail dinghies with his father. He went on to complete an apprenticeship at North Sails before joining Emirates Team New Zealand for the 34th America’s Cup, and later sailed with Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing in the winning Volvo Ocean Race campaign. He has since competed in major international circuits, including the 52 Super Series and the Extreme Sailing Series.
